We believe that all are welcome, no exceptions.
At our baptisms, we entered a covenant relationship with God (Book of Common Prayer 304). In our baptismal vows were to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbor as ourselves. We strive for justice and peace among all people and to respect the dignity of every human being. And, we hope to continue in breaking bread together as the early disciples did. With God’s help, we will do this
We are called to love all people because GOD LOVES ALL PEOPLE whether Black, Brown, Indigenous, people of color, or LGBTQIA+. All races, all creeds and cultures. Married, Single, Divorced, Seekers, Skeptics. Whatever your age or background, whoever you are, whoever you love, and wherever you are in your journey, there is a place at the table for you.
Come with your questions. Come with your doubts. Come with your hurts, joys, and concerns. All are welcome. No Exceptions
Redeemer is a Christian church in the Episcopal tradition. Our worship is traditional but informed by the constant creativity of God. Eucharist, or Communion, is central to our worship. We invite everyone to partake in communion as a way of mystically inhabiting our relationship to God and the world. We believe that our worship sustains and comforts us in the holy work of loving people, loving our community, and seeking to make a more just world.
Our worship is formed from the Book of Common Prayer that unites Episcopalians and the greater Anglican community across the world. The prayers we say on Sunday are said all over the world and carry the weight of history. If liturgical worship is new to you we hope you can allow the liturgy to deepen your relationship to the community and God.
We are a part of the Diocese of Ohio, which is part of The Episcopal Church, which is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
What is the Congregation Like?
We are a caring, welcoming group of Christians: some young, some older; some married, some single; some long time members, some very new. Some folks are former Evangelicals or Roman Catholics while others grew up Episcopalian. We are committed to reminding people of their goodness and the worlds goodness and that it is out of joy that we prophetically go out into the world, not fear. We share a commitment to loving God, loving our neighbors, and changing the world.
When Are Services?
Services are every Sunday at 8:00 and 10:30 am.
If you need a handicap accessible entrance, please call ahead and we will have the elevette ready.
